They are one of the best, most nostalgic, and lively bands I've ever had the pleasure to enjoy. The song "I was born a unicorn" fills me with enough energy that I generally cannot contain myself when I hear it; while tracks like "Les Os" and "Ghost Mountain" could whisper me into a drippy, sentimental lull. They feature instruments including but not limited to: synthesizers, keyboards, drum machines, toy piano, toy organ, echoplex, bass, guitar, melodian, recorder, glockenspiel, accordion, trumpet, bowed bass, fiddles, violins, cellos and penny whistles. Each song on this album is entirely unique and worthwhile. I've found myself falling in love with every sentence, beat and random noise; not to mention the brief rap section in "Tuff Luff"
The lead singer, Nick Diamonds, is also in a band called "The Islands", they are good but not as good as the unicorns. That is all.

If you want catchy, indie lo-fi, listen to the unicorns!!!!

MusacalRevew

Rabbit Habits by Man Man

"Mister Jung Stuffed" (2:28)
"Hurly / Burly" (3:51)
"The Ballad of Butter Beans" (4:28)
"Big Trouble" (5:05)
"Mysteries of the Universe Unraveled" (0:09)
"Doo Right" (1:38)
"Easy Eats or Dirty Doctor Galapagos" (2:24)
"Harpoon Fever (Queequeg's Playhouse)" (3:19)
"El Azteca" (1:43)
"Rabbit Habits" (2:48)
"Top Drawer" (3:26)
"Poor Jackie" (8:23)
"Whale Bones" (7:14)

This is some beautiful gypsy shit right here. Starting off fast and exciting with Mister Jung Stuffed and ballad of butter beans, big trouble brings it down to some throw your hands up, you’re a zombie kind of earlove. My favorites on the album are Doo Right, beautiful both lyrically and musically. The addition of fireworks to the beginning of the song, and also being in mysteries of the universe unraveled are extremely yada (Yada: a good thing)(Yadamean: a real good thing) Anyway, Poor Jackie is another favorite. Again it shines lyrically and goes through like four or five different plains.
I was reading somewhere that hot stuff Nicholas thorburn who is from the unicorns and honus honus who is the lead singer of man man were planning on some crazy subgenre album together and that’s super sexy.

So, if you’re looking for some happy gypsy viking vaudeville ??? pleasant music check out Man Man

LISTEN right here to a live performance: blogotheque

other albums by man man: zeppelin 3, six demon bag, and the man in a blue turban with face

next week: the unicorns (((yay))))))

Gettin all Funked up

parliament!!!!
spare change

answer me this:

can people change? do people change?
how do they go about doing it?

xanga really is a corpse, and we're all just visiting the grave [[dramaaah]]]

yeah
I don't want to do this anymore
fuck it

mass messages, mommaroo, anorexia, MASS FUCKING MESSAGES, stupid featured questions, narcissistic assholes, "I'm the best writer in the whoooole world, la la la la la", rec's for no.apparent.reason.....
I'm not inspired to write anything
so I write something worthless about how I have a lot of shit to do, which just exacerbates the whole situation because I could be doing that shit instead fucking this website for all it's worth, which is nothing.

I suppose I'm envious of those who stick around, but I can't do it.
this is really just a waste of time.
Twitter is where it's really at.

that was dripping with sarcasm, twitter caters to the new generation of bullshit micro-blogging

a;lskdfj;skldjfaa;ldskfja;slkdfja;sldkjfa;ldskjf

what will you tell your mom and pa?
mom I tore a big hole in your convertible
you're probably wondering why I'm here
and so am I, so am I

Gonna, Wanna, Coulda, Shoulda

I've been having difficulties with my procrastination.
I've even been hit sort of hard by that real world stick.

Before I graduated, (I graduated high school this year), I procrastinated on my homework...studying..basic whatever bullllshit. I created a 'projectplaylist.com' account in order to keep track/listen to the songs of the people that were in it (very good tastes in music they had). Well anyways, I'm interested to know what exactly is being listened to now, by you. Yes, YOU. You sitting at your desk, or lounging around in yesterdays boxers. What do you listen to when you're web-surfing? I mean, sure, everyone has those songs and genres that they listen too, the classics. But what are YOU listening to right NOW.

because, here's what I'm listening too:

in particular, I've been listening to a lot of Aesop Rock. It affects my friends and family. I have begun a seven-step program to better myself, and my situation.

...naw just kidding. But I do really need to quit smoking (cigarettes). With the new tax put on them in my residing state, and the even newer tax being put on cigarettes April 1st, it's getting to be like $6 a pack.

and I just got fired, I can't afford this garbage.

so, so...after smoking for three years...I need..to...quit.

can I do it?

My average is between 10-15 a day. (like I said, it's a serious problem)

yesterday, I smoked only four. It was hard, but manageable.

I have yet to have one today, and normally it is physically hurting by this time.

so wish me luck
and I'd certainly love to hear your quitting attempts/successes

DRUGS

So...there is this huge stigma that marijuana is bad.
We've all also heard the whole 'ughhh marijuana should be legalized!! pot rulez!!!" accompanied by obnoxious tie-dye blah blah peace signs and leaves and shit. Well, ok, let's be honest now... of course marijuana should be legalized.

I mean, it's one of those things that I feel should just be completely obvious.

Smoking is bad for you.

however, ingesting marijuana in tea, for example, or brownies is truly, sincerely not that bad for you at all. And by not that bad, I mean not bad.

if you take into consideration the amount of prescription medication side-effects there are, and compare it to the side effects of marijuana, you maaaaay think twice before popping that jar of pills every morning.

Pills: a whole wonderful variety of drowsiness, stomach problems and risk of heart disease.

Weed: munchies, temporary depletion of short term memory (no evidence of long term memory problems) and by temporary, I mean while you are high, and alsooo sleeepiness?

There are literally a huge handful of reasons that marijuana should be legalized. The economy, hemp, medicinal use, etc. etc. et-fucking-cetera. plus all of the things I can think of to disprove all the arguments for why it should be illegal.

so let's just be real here; pot, bud, mary jane, ghanja, weed, cannibas, marijuana is good for your soul.

tatataaaaaaste it
